3D Photos! New Dimension PhotoCraft has refined an innovative new concept: three-dimensional photographs, created using many highly detailed layers inside deep box frames. This product is a personal one-of-a-kind development of photographic papercraft.

The works consist of a number of individual segments cut from copies of the original photograph. They are then raised from the background directly over their relative positions in that photo. Backgrounds are also extended behind foreground objects. The overall effect of 10-20 layers creates a realistic 3D photograph.

Why are these products unique?

The most closely related product to these is Paper Tole. However, New Dimension PhotoCraft has developed the techniques to make such products from actual prints on photographic paper. Traditionally this has been too difficult as glossy photo paper is seen as too stiff or inflexible, too thick to cut finely, is damaged easily if bent and may show up finger marks.

While the process of producing these products is still quite risky (extreme care must be taken to avoid ruining an entire project), the end result needs to be seen to be believed. For information on where you can see these products, visit our page on display locations.

New Dimension PhotoCraft now offers a gift voucher service for those willing to give a wedding, personal or corporate gift like no other.

A gift voucher covers some or all of the cost of a custom 8" x 12" 3D photograph. For weddings, as the product needs to be created from existing photography, a wedding voucher will enable you to "give" this as a wedding gift.
